SOUTHERN OREGON REGIONAL ENVIROTHON
Each year the Jackson Soil and Water Conservation District, with the support of local partners, puts on a one-day Southern Oregon Regional Envirothon (SORE) for regional high school students. As it is held in advance of and is similar to Oregon Envirothon, SORE helps students prepare for the statewide competition. Teams that participate in SORE regularly place in the top five teams at Oregon Envirothon, and several have taken first at state and gone on to represent Oregon in the international event.
For more information and to get involved, see Southern Oregon Regional Envirothon.
